Doing both rooms together means one mobilisation, one waterproofing visit and one tiling run, so the cost per room is lower and the household is only disrupted once.

Like the rest of Pakenham’s early-2000s estate stock, many Lakeside wet areas are 15 to 20-plus years old, and the original waterproofing membrane has reached the end of its service life. We strip back to substrate and re-waterproof to AS 3740 in every room as part of the renovation, so the new bathroom and ensuite are sealed for the long term rather than tiled over a tired membrane.
